One Year of Strata Mining Services

Strata Mining Services was established in September 2020 to fill a niche position in the mining services industry in South Africa. Starting a new company amid a global pandemic is no small feat. Many businesses didn’t pull through, yet not only did the company survive the pandemic, our teams were grateful that we flourished as we pressed on. 

While there have been setbacks and challenges to overcome, our company has grown in leaps and bounds. We take pride in our 12 months of business growth. It’s important to take the time to celebrate our successes, including the small and big victories that have enabled Strata to come out on top form. 

“The fact that we just celebrated our first birthday is a massive win in my eyes,” said Chrisna Basson, Managing Director. “The year was full of challenges in every aspect of the business, and it wasn’t always easy but as a team, we worked together to work through those difficulties.”

Our people’s enthusiasm and hunger to strive for excellence have been the driving force in all that we do. When every person on the team is passionate about the brand and willing to go the extra mile, there is plenty of fuel in the tank for significant growth. 

“Thinking back to the beginning of this journey, I was nervous, but also very excited. I was fortunate to have an amazing team of people alongside me, and that gave me the comfort and courage to take on the challenge with both hands,” Chrisna said. 

“We have great people at Strata, and I believe that my primary role is to support and serve them. It’s our people that inspire me to level up as a leader.”

Looking forward to the future, Chrisna’s sights are set on building towards increased business sustainability and following a customer centric strategy. If the recent economic landscape has taught us anything, it’s that the world is full of uncertainty.
