Welcome to Strata, Ronwyn Langley

Strata Mining Services welcomes Ronwyn Langley to our team as Compliance Manager, taking care of the safety compliance and legislation requirements in Kathu, Northern Cape.

Having graduated with a National Diploma in 2019 while also getting married and having her first child in the same year, Ronwyn got a job in the mining industry as a Safety Officer in 2020. When she saw the opening for a Compliance Manager at Strata, she applied right away.

“What inspires me most about Strata is that we are like family. Here, we work together, laugh together, and we respect each other. I enjoy the people that I work with although my main role is to ensure the safety of all employees and to always have the company’s best interests at heart,” she said.

Ronwyn says her family keeps her motivated to work harder each day and to never stop challenging herself. “I see life like one long university education – every day I’m learning something new.”

When she is not working, Ronwyn appreciates time with her family. “My family is important to me. I enjoy taking trips and making memories with loved ones. Sunday church services are what I look forward to each week and I truly enjoy singing and dancing. Nothing is impossible with God by your side, hard work, and determination.”

When asked what she wanted to achieve in her new role, Ronwyn added: “I want to make a difference – I want to add value to the company and be part of the company’s growth and success. ‘A man’s true wealth is the good he does in the world.’ – Khalil Gibran.”
